Ogilvy is one of the best places to work. Brimming with creativity and achievement, it offers ample opportunity to think, create and deliver for everyone at all level. As a HR professional I feel proud to have generated the awareness about the offings that HR has for an agency. Along with contributions on controlling attrition, hiring in innovative ways, compensation redesign, performance appraisals, people engagement, Development and Assessment Centers, Training at local level, I got global exposure by way of my reporting to APAC office. Best experience has been about innovative ways of hiring where an Ogilvy Alumni Community was created to maintain the database and approach the ex ogilvy people for hiring. Dislikes

Ogilvy being the leader in its industrial domain has not been an excellent pay master, its considered more as a launch pad for a fresher who would master the art of work and would command very high pay using ogilvy tag.

Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..
