Likes

The senior manager and team lead are very understanding. Work culture is good. Lot of fun activities.

Dislikes

Career growth is very slow. The decisions taken by the AVP do not take employee welfare into consideration. It is all about meeting borderline unrealistic goals every quarter.

Work Details

It takes a few months of learning to fit into the goal. But after that things get very monotonous and there is nothing left to improve your skills.

Work days: Rotational Shift (Flexible Timings)

Work related travel: This job involves Travel Within City.

Current Job Situation: I’ve been working at TCS for over 2.5 years, with a total experience of 4.5 years. My salary is 9.6 LPA, and I work with technologies like Casper framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Java, PL/SQL, and JBoss. While I have good job security and flexibility, I feel like I’m working with outdated technologies and have a lot of leisure time, which is affecting my motivation. Concerns: 1. Outdated Tech: I’m worried that working with older tech will limit future opportunities. Should I stay or move to a role with newer technologies? 2. Salary: Is my current package competitive for my experience? What salary should I aim for if I switch? Seeking Advice: What modern technologies should I learn to stay relevant?
