On handling apparatus, skill development, research papers, attending conference, scientist share their experiences and discusses the experiment results with us...... They considering my view in experiments analysis. They provides staff quarters for temporary employees.

Dislikes

we have summit stipend form for salary in that, our guide or project leader signature is required. Here comes the problem. If he satisfy then he will sign. If not, no salary. Most of the temporary employees facing this problem. I did't get last 4 months salary. This type of harassment has to stop and the work pressure is high. No yearly compensation is provided.

To work in R & D is like dream comes true. Scientist are kind in nature & down to earth. You can learn as much as u want, there were no restriction of learning. Laboratory is open to innovation & readily adopts latest technology. There were lots of workshop & training took place from time to time. The work culture is very good. Dislikes

Project Assistant post is a temporary post & they never make it permanent. However they will take you up to 5 yrs. from the joining but after that they will never absorb as per the rules of CSIR. But the fact is there is never ending of learning.

Work Details

My work is slightly challenging as I have to look after the entire project. I am doing all kinds of mechanical test (tensile, fatigue, fracture, charpy) at high & low temp in servo-electric & hydraulic machines & maintaining the log books.

Work days: Monday to Friday (Strict Timings)

Work related travel: This is a desk job.
