In a nutshell: They keep your originals, promise you the best opportunities, and then exploit you till you want to quit the medical field. Forced food habits: Yes, I know this sounds ridiculous, but ridiculous is what you get at this place. Your supervisors like a certain food item, you HAVE to like it too. Because they will make you eat it. They will force you to eat it. Allergies, food preferences, festivals? THEY DON'T CARE. Your boss is on a power trip, and there's nothing you can do. This isn't just a personal experience, it's a culture. To a point where the people who have been subjected to this end up becoming future tormentors. Unlimited hours: I have worked here for 100 days straight. No leaves, no holidays, no Sundays. No amount that anyone pays you is worth this rubbish. Physical appearance discrimination: I had seen this first-hand with a few female colleagues of mine. You are FORCED to wear makeup! Because you're supposed to look "nice" for your patients. Is it just me that thinks that patients don't care about an ophthalmologist's appearance? I mean, seriously? Some of the things I've heard people say here will get people fired in any other workplace in the city. To anyone looking to get into opthal - I know this place pays well, but for the sake of yours and your family's sanity, please stay away. You can get what is offered here at several other places. The HOD Dr Sreeharsha is horrible person ever met. Even if you are sick and after showing the medical reports he doesn’tn. Even when you are free you are not allowed to use mobile phones, lunch break is also limited.sanction leave and he asks us to resig.
