Being a Project manager at LUMIQ offers valuable exposure to the market and the chance to connect with stakeholders. I've also been involved in AI- based projects, and I appreciate that management supports growth with new processes to keep us aligned, even though data projects can be quite complicated.

Dislikes

Some projects come with unclear goals, both from customers and LUMIQ leadership, causing confusion. The customer's first mentality can clash with staying on budget and on schedule. Constantly chasing clients for sign-offs can be a real pain.

Working at LUMIQ has been really positive. I'm part of the capital BU, here for over a year. The open atmostphere encourages idea sharing but the tech level is extremely advanced. Indian Clients Often request a lot of customizations, making sign-offs tough and requiring multiple follow-ups. The internal LUMIQ culture can clash with customer culture, which is sometimes challenging to manage.

Dislikes

Managing clients expectations can be difficult, especially on fixed-bid projects where customers constantly add requirements and sign-offs take ages. Most of the action centers in Noida, So Chennai and Pune can feel a bit peripheral. The Noida HQ is quite impressive, though

Only a select few at the top make all the decisions, and they discourage innovative thoughts and ideas from others. 2) **Dishonesty in Management:** The top management operates on a foundation of lies. The sales team misrepresents their technical capabilities to secure projects from clients. Consequently, developers are often overloaded with work on 2-3 projects, leading to extreme pressure. This results in deliverables not being completed on time, and the delivery team is expected to fabricate solutions in front of the client to mask the company's flawed business model. 3) **Delayed Salaries:** Salaries are rarely paid on time. Within one year of joining, company has changed the policies multiple times especially work from home, first it was flexible then changed to 2 days in a week, then changed to no work from home. The working hours have been changed multiple times, there is a strict punch in policy but no punch out, working overtime does not provide any appreciation or compensation. Micromanagement is at its peak. Work review is being reported to different hierarchy, to the manager, delivery partner and then to the CEO also. Work hours can become intense due to delivery commitments, and sometimes we travel to client offices on very short notice. The global expansion and new processes add to the pressure, especially since I am vegetarian. Some large customers can be quite demanding, and we often need to repeat explanations to them and their higher-ups. Although remove fast, processes can slow us down. I'd love more employee engagement activities outside regular work. While there are occasional parties, many miss out because of busy schedules, and senior management usually appears only once or twice a year. Recently, finance underwent a major restructuring, which delayed salary. They were transparent about it, but no delays would be ideal.

My role is challenging but rewarding. Over the last six years, I've honed my data-gathering and structuring skills, and LUMIQ has given me room to deepen that expertise. Work life balance can be hit or miss-some days are intense, others are slower-often depending on customer demos and delays. People here are always exploring Gen AI for faster work, so the pace is extremely tech-oriented.

Dislikes

Communication could be more streamlined. In UAT and support you either get inundated with tasks or have none at all. It's difficult to move to new projects midstream, you are expecting to see your current assignment through.

There's a good mix of new talent and experienced pros at LUMIQ, which makes a great learning environment. I've had opportunities to work on different projects and broaden my skills. Nobody here shies away from change-it's very tech driven place.

Dislikes

I sometimes wish for more structured mentorship from senior colleague. People who do well on one project can get sent on-site, even if they're freshers. Meanwhile, Indian client can be extremely demanding. Seniority in years doesn't matter much here, everyone here is expected to weigh in and juniors ask a lot of questions too.

There's a strong push for using GenAI and LLMs every day, and management wants us to consult these tools before asking colleagues. Founders and leaderships also tend to ask juniors members to speak first in meetings, which can be tough for newer team members.

Fortunately, the founders even jump in to help with slides and edits when we're in urgent need.

Dislikes

Long cycles are expected, but the coordination between solutions, architects, sales and finance has become more complex than it was a few years ago. Everyone demands thorough preparation, so you need to be ready for anything. Sales target pay-out are tied to revenue realisation, and the company expects salespeople to run the first meeting independently-this means a lot of preparation upfront.
