Initially payment was received on time. That is the only compliment if you decide to work for this agency.

Dislikes

Beware of Lingual Consultancy, a translation agency. They delay the payments despite promising to pay the translators 45 days from the date the invoice is raised. The so called project manager raises the purchase order immediately after the translation work if finished and sends it to the translator. When the translator raises an invoice as soon as he receives the purchase order, he sends it to the person who disburses the payment. The person who receives the invoice looks for deficiencies in the invoice. If there are no deficiencies in the invoice, he clears the invoice exactly on the 45th day of receiving the invoice. This is true with translators who are with the agency since quite some time. The new translators are paid within 10 - 15 days of raising the invoice. The agency builds trust among the new translators and then slowly betray them as they get tenured with the agency. The agency deducts money while paying the translators. They say that TDS has been deducted, but never send a statement until and unless a request is sent repeatedly for more than a couple of times. Ultimately they sent the TDS statement and finally never paid me for the last project. When questioned they respond that the payment has been adjusted towards TDS deduction, despite showing the amount as credit in their TDS statement.
