I joined in 1993,that time it was Humphreys &Glasgow, in 1996-99 it was taken over by Jacobs. Until the new management came in somewhere around 2014-15, the culture and work atmosphere was excellent, due to detoriation of work culture, i resigned in June 2018 after working for 25 years.

Salary - Good
Work satisfaction - Good

Dislikes

Personal grudge by the manager and not recognizing and rewarding the right person due to personal grudge.

Promotions - Poor

Company policies are the best, and employees are friendly and supportive of any problem. I also like employee re-hire police here.

Dislikes

Managers do not value individuals' unique strengths, so I have to take back my suggestions most of the time. Overall Jacobs is good to place if this politics does not happen.

Disappointing Interview Experience with D.E. Shaw

I recently interviewed with D.E. Shaw, and it turned out to be one of the most draining experiences I’ve had. The interviewer’s approach felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive, which made the entire process uncomfortable. At multiple points, the interviewer asked me to drop off the call, even when I tried asking basic questions about the designation, job description, and other details. After the interview, I found myself sitting there for a few minutes, trying to process what just happened. It left me questioning the overall tone and professionalism of the interview. Definitely not the experience I was expecting from such a well-known firm.
