An excellent service which gives opportunity to learn modern technologies of the world. Provides job security and puts you through challenging tasks. Naval Officers are backbone of service and they can develop excellent organising and Team building and decision making capabilities. After enforcement of 7th Pay commission recommendations, pay & perks have also become highly satisfying.

Dislikes

Promotion policy is not satisfying. Approx. 80% of officers are not promoted to Col & their equivalent i.e. Group Capt in Air Force and Captain in Navy. Transfers are too many. Family life is disturbed.

Work Details

I had opportunity to work on War Ships/submarines, Naval Dockyard, Warship Building Project, IT Infrastructure Management, Director Quality Assurance, Training assignments etc. All the appointments were challenging and had free hand to take decisions.

Work days: Monday to Saturday (Flexible Timings)
