While my experience at IIT Guwahati has been largely positive, like any institution,there are areas that could be improved.For instance,the remote location of the campus can sometimes pose logistical challenges,such as limited access to certain resources or connectivity issues with external collaborators.This can occasionally make planning collaborations or accessing specialized equipment more time-consuming. Additionally,while the institute has made significant strides in research infrastructure, further streamlining administrative processes or increasing funding opportunities for certain interdisciplinary projects could enhance the research experience even more. That said,these challenges also foster adaptability and creative problem solving,which are valuable skills I have developed during my time here.Overall,I view these as opportunities for growth rather than significant drawbacks....Read More

Some professors in the mining department are very approachable and friendly.

In terms of salary, it is inadequate. There are no opportunity for promotion in my job role, and job security is lacking. Work satisfaction is low due to lack of appreciation from professors and minimal prospects for career growth. Additionally, some staff and professors act with an inflated sense of self-importance and can be heartless, often mocking the struggles of others.

IIT Kanpur is the stupid workplace in the history of India. The environment is toxic. The professor based workers like Samit Ray Chaudhuri, Suporno , Vinay Kumar Gupta, Chinmay Koley will mentally torture you with their students, and throw you out from balcony..I nearly escaped...If I was a girl situation would have been worse.. avoid this place

If your are research scholar, some babus do not respect you. If you are married, ensure you get accomodation within campus, else you will regret. If you are unmarried and leaving in Hostel (Hall for IIT KGP), you won't get good food to eat everyday (especially you won't get a normal roti, forget good roti). Male nurse @ Hospital.
