Likes

Work environment, teammates are nice to work with. Overall it is a good experience to work here.

Dislikes

Compensation is decent, but growth is slow. No promotions. Lack of Performance appraisal.

Work Details

Generally speaking, my work is exciting as well as challenging. As I work with the children below 6 years age group, I found it somewhat enjoyable.

Work days: Alternate Saturday off (Flexible Timings)

Work related travel: This job involves Travel Within City.

Seeking advice on current job

Current Job Situation: I’ve been working at TCS for over 2.5 years, with a total experience of 4.5 years. My salary is 9.6 LPA, and I work with technologies like Casper framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Java, PL/SQL, and JBoss. While I have good job security and flexibility, I feel like I’m working with outdated technologies and have a lot of leisure time, which is affecting my motivation. Concerns: 1. Outdated Tech: I’m worried that working with older tech will limit future opportunities. Should I stay or move to a role with newer technologies? 2. Salary: Is my current package competitive for my experience? What salary should I aim for if I switch? Seeking Advice: What modern technologies should I learn to stay relevant?
