At ICFAI UNIVERSITY in Tripura, only low level politics are played. I am a victim of this game. I joined ICFAI at January 2023 at allied health science department as a visiting faculty of microbiology. After joining I have asked for any documents for my joining however the HR Ms. Kaberi De denied for giving any formal documents that implies that I work there. Unexpected!! How do someone proof that they were really working at this institution?? After serving for a semester, the university recruited new microbiology full time faculty and rejected me without any reason. When asked for my performance downfall, the VC, Registrar, and HR didn't bother to response even after multiple mails. Seems like all the big fishes are already aware of such unfairment game. Such a unprofessional culture was utterly disappointing from a figure like ICFAI. I am a doctorate at microbiology, and there are so many full time faculties with only Masters degree. A senior faculty came in and she ruined the culture altogether. She is poisonous.

The working environment is very good. They help the teachers in their research works and studies. Students are also cordial. Most importantly they provide salaries on time and increment every year as per their norms. Happy to work and share the experience.

Dislikes

The leaves and holidays are very less. Some of govt holidays are even not provided by the institute. Rest is fine.

Nothing to like. Everything here is of dislikes. The infrastructure is very poor and the staffs are nothing but the followers of Pro VC

Dislikes

There are so many dislikes that you could not count. Starting from infrastructure they do not have wifi enabled campus and depend on the free wifi provided by Jio, student quality is too poor and the management is pathetic as it is run by a dictator was Pro VC now promoted to VC (Incharge). This VC does not have the administrative knowledge and consider the campus as his empire. Everybody have to give a nod whatever he feels like and does and if do not you are out from the campus. No independence to do your job as it is only governed by the VC and his word is final. He does not even know how to give respect to the colleagues and bad words can be used at any time.
