The main thing to like about HPCL is that is is a PSU moreover after the take over by ONGC it now gains the "Maharatna company" status. Work culture here is sort of okay not ver good not too bad. You have to work 8 hours a day and 5 days a week. You get a good package and other allowances.

Dislikes

Since I was only a Graduate Apprentice Trainee (GAT) and not an officer, there is no job security. There is no policy for absorbing the GAT after one year completion which is very disappointing. As I was working just like an officer having good amount of knowledge and contacts with various dealers and vendors for the smooth execution of even difficult works but at the end of a year I was out. Just one basic thing I don't understand is that how a company could let go one of his trained person who is handing a particular work and is doing great in it, instead taking new guys who comes through GATE having no knowledge or experience....Read More

Work Details

I was handling the project of Automation of All Retail Outlets in Raipur Region in Chhattisgarh. Managing every aspect of the work from the purchase order call up and survey of the outlets to the completion of Automation and real time data sync to CHOS.

Work days: Monday to Friday (Strict Timings)

Work related travel: This job involves Travel Within City.
