I joined as a (GAT) Graduate Apprentice Trainee for a tenure of 1 year. After successful completion of my training the contract was not extended (seems like a company policy), and this happened with other GATs of my time as well as the previous GATs. Everything was good except for the fact that there was literally no scope for me toenrich my knowledge in my field (Civil engineering) as I was appointed for Retail upgradation aka Automation. As I worked for the smallest tenure so the salary increments or appraisal wasn't applicable on me, but I have seen other officers who joined at the same time and those incentives were quite good for them. Apart from this, work pressure was there quite a lot, so you can't get out of the office regularly after the working hour, but that wasn't really big problem as the people I worked with were good....Read More

The thing I disliked is that till now there is no scope for the trainee to get hired in the same company for which we have worked for a year.

I was appointed as a GAT as said earlier and my work was to complete the automation of the retail outlets (petrol pumps) under the area of my regional office. To overcome the obstacles we are facing by communicating with the respective vendor or dealer.
