Notice period, early join

My current company notice period is two months 23-Dec-2024 to 20-feb-2024. But my new employer asking for early join ie 3rd of feb! I requested for early relieve to My current employer. Verbally they agreed to relieve two weeks early but now they not ready to relieve early. They want me to complete two months notice period. My new employer asking to join early! What can I do? Work life balance is degrading, but is good comparable to other organizations which i have seen in same tyre trade.

Dislikes

Appraisals and promotions are planned but are executed after years. No learning and development initiatives planned by HR. Policies (like incentive, Leaves, Appraisals) are made when half of the year is gone. HR works like a true "lala" here, they aren't bothered about employees and their development. HR interaction with field employees is nil. Organization isn't bothered for succession planning, they take people from outside.
