Notice period, early join

My current company notice period is two months 23-Dec-2024 to 20-feb-2024. But my new employer asking for early join ie 3rd of feb! I requested for early relieve to My current employer. Verbally they agreed to relieve two weeks early but now they not ready to relieve early. They want me to complete two months notice period. My new employer asking to join early! What can I do? Toxic work culture. Relations with senior are important than work for salary hikes and promotion. For joining also, reference is important than telent. People from same family; 2-3 generations are working there. HR team is huge but very weak. Lot of financial leakages.
