The leaders here are very transparent and sweet. Trust me you just have to discuss your issue with them be it anything and everything in the world. I still remember the night i shared my family issue with Gaurav sir and he has advised me for 2 hours listened everything and helped me financially too to cope up from problemz. I have 5friends working in media industry and they have no proper timings, boss give curses but here the environment is very differnt and genuine. Since they have a strictly great culture policy, thats why here the entire team feels like one big team! Also since they are very skilled editors here, i got to learn a lot. I knew only basics of AE but now i have become proficient. I love the work life balance culture of the company. Ofcourse since they have youtube channels timmings are sometimes stretched but Nikita Maam personally comes and asks us to leave when there is no immediate submission. Even if we say we want to compete and go she sweets says if there is a requirement she would ask us to stay and finish. But today you can go. Has happened with me a lot since i was very slow at editing in the beginning and i used to feel insecure about it. Love the parties at getsetfly too. Since its a big office, the fridge and microwave is placed in a different room which is very far from editing room so we cant use it much. Company should take action on some low performers. They give too much extra time I believe.

I am a master in biotechnology. So, it was quite difficult for me to write scripts which were more inclined towards astrophysics and stuff. But, the owner of the company, Mr. Gaurav Thakur, is himself a science enthusiast and hence, he helped me grasp those concepts. All in all, i would say that, this company is more suitable for the passionates than the workoholics.
The company does provide quick increments once they start liking your work, but at the same time, the level of job security is quite low.

Being a writer at GetSetFly Media was the first official job I had as a writer and I couldn't be more grateful for it. That is because it has been a huge learning opportunity for me and working here helped me grow as a person as well. At this job, I not only got to learn about subjects I was interested in but also about subjects like Science, Astrophysics and Politics.
The only issue I had faced here was not completing my daily goals on time and having to wait past the official working hours. But other than that, I had no complaints.

4 years experience in GetsetflyMedia I have been working in the company since last 4 years. I joined as an editor and I have managed a team of 4 people for one of their YT channels. I never thought I could lead a team and scale from an editor to a team lead. This was only possible because I was given the required environment, mentorship and space to enhance my skills. I joined in with a low salary but in just 1 year my salary tripled because here there is a “High Performance High Growth Policy”. This company is very serious about this. They would discuss a goal with you very transparently and offer a hike to complete it. The hike would then directly depend on the performance and not time period. Hence I have seen many cases wherein people have gotten 10-15k hike in just 3 months if they were able to achieve their goals. And of course the exact opposite thing happens with people who are not a culture fit to the organisation. Culture is another main principle. Members are briefed about how - Trust, Honesty, Loyalty to Team and Excellence are the pillars of the team during their induction round or monthly meets and any person who isn’t a fit, is political, two faced and or insecure of others success is identified quickly. They are made aware of their actions and if not fixed, are terminated. This is exactly why I love the vibe of Getsetfly Media and you can see some hate comments here too. It’s a pretty big office and trust me, I go to any room, social media, editing, researching, finance, people are really amicable, nobody has any personal agendas. We all sit and have lunch together at 1.30 including Gaurav Sir and Nikita Ma’am. Trying to improve employees who do not perform well. I feel this sometimes burdens other performing team member. This happened with me once when 2 team members were poor performers and I had to complete their work. I think giving them 2 weeks is enough to judge them. This is my personal opinion. Also since this is a media company, sometimes because of trending news and uploads, I have to wait till 7.30ish but the vibe after 6.30 when everybody leaves is even better. During my PI round, they had discussed a goal with me that I had to fulfill and they told me that they would offer direct 20% hike on my ctc. Some fellow people there. But If I could give this place a zero, I totally would but one stars will have to suffice for now.
Nikita thakur will lecture on "backstabbing and office politics is strictly prohibited" and goes on to do the same. Hiring people and firing them is mass numbers in a month and no work life balance. There's no skill development factor here. You either pick up things on on your own or you don't. The politics is the worst part here. They have a "100% mandatory transparecy policy". Both parties are required to be honest and it's a point from their rule book, along with being a team play and amicable. But do they and they will treat you like a gun practice target and bid you bye. All in all, Nikitha Thakur is incredibly petty (think Regina George from Mean Girls) and never practices what she preaches...and she runs a million subscribers worth youtube channel along with a handful of others in other names that "educate". There is no proper work schedule. 9.30 - 6.30 is the working hours but they will make you sit till 8. The Manager and CEO plans each and everything, what to say and whom to say. They will appreciate you for the work you did but they will always try to say some negative things to make sure you are under confident and only listen to them because what they say is logical they think but they aren't. Always the Editor/Leader is at the fault of any mishap. If you don't have work and you sit idle, its your fault because you cant sit idle, you are getting paid so you cant sit free. You have to keep doing some or the other thing but they wont tell you what should you do in the free time. Mostly all the PC that is used to work are slow and incapable of doing good editing. You cant preview what you have edited and because they are incapable of editing, the management wont understand and will ask you to provide excellent output on the potato computer and make sure you wait till late and finish your work. People who have no authority to say anything to you, will come to your face, say whatever and leave. You cant to anything because the CEO is always backing them. No matter how good are you at your work, they will manipulate you and make you feel you are not smart enough. You might come across INCENTIVES schemes and a hike after every 6months or based on your performance might get after 3 months of joining.But it is totally false, its a HOAX.If you keep getting Incentives every month,they wont give you on the 3rd month and will give you any dumb reasons for not getting incentive s.They wont give you hike in 6months.there are employees who are underpaid and still not given hike after 10 months. The Leader tries his best so that each employee is happy and can be motivated to work in a grateful manner but at the end the MANAGER. She will come and spread soo much negativity and ask the leader to make sure he does more EXTRA work. They have NO knowledge of what is Production, About Storyboarding. They are Biased towards Government but they will say you they are NEUTRAL. They say they respect all religion but they reject candidates who are MUSLIMS. Conclusion: They will provide you the work after lunch time and ask you complete before you leave They talk about culture and environment, while they are the one who are good at back bitching and spreading negativity They wont hike your salary in 6 months Those who have NO knowledge of anything, will teach you how to do. I joined GetsetflyMedia 2 years ago, solely to work with Gaurav Sir as i developed a passion for Science just because of his videos. Things i like about company - 1- They has always been very clear. Honestly there was a time where my performance had gone bad a lot. They told it to me very maturely instead of firing directly like inmy previous company did. 2- I had a personal problems due to which i needed finances, Gaurav sir personally gave me 2 lakhs loan and helped me get out of the mess by contacting with police and fixing mine issue. I have worked in 3 companies before and no company owner every helped so much. 3- They work on the culture of the organisation a lot. They are ready to take action on the best performers too if they are coming to office with a wrong mindset, want to do politics. 4- since they manage many yt channels so they keep inventing new things create new departments and many times they are many opportunities for the right people. 1- the company has strict performance and incentive and growth policy. You will be given a lot of time and training ( 4-5 months) but you have to become independent editor very soon. The video editing team is the best department everyone are helpful and work as a team.
The management of this company is run by the family member so they follow hire and fire policy. The probation period is not about the training but an excuse to terminate you without any valid reasons. As an Hr I found that this company doesn't care about the employees. So I won't recommend this company if you are a fresher or an experience individual who wants growth and stability. They don't put the employee on a PIP but directly terminate them. Also the policies of the company is not structured properly eg - You work for 3 months without leave when you are in the probation period but the leave doesn't get accumulated in that period you need to clear your probation and work for a month to get 2 leaves which means in 4 month of working you get only 2 leaves in your leave balance.
