My job has to do with Controlling Micronutrient Deficiencies among venerable group in the society especially among under 5 children. it is a branch of Nutrition Programme. It is multisectorial and requires collaboration between government, partners, NGOs, community approach, team walk, care givers mothers and fathers. Everybody is involved. One person cannot do it alone.

Dislikes

Government is where decisions are taken. Policies that govern every programme are formulated and developed at the government level. It is at this level a lot of issues affecting the country their decisions are made. So I like to walk at this level because it gives me the opportunity to influence good policies that positively affect humanity.

The work is hectic but is interesting because its makes one to be more competent and enabling one to work under stress with good productivity.

Opportunity for growth, job satisfaction, excellent work environment, provision for adequate and effective training of staff. Though the remuneration is just average, but other opportunities make working here an excellent experience. Job security is almost taken for granted.

Dislikes

The low wages and remuneration can only be improved upon.

Work Details

As a Civil Engineer in this environment, work could be hectic but rather interesting and challenging. Also gives room for continuous development and adequate in job trainings both home and abroad.

The salary was good and credited on time every month. The work load was very less as compared to India. I had to go only for the lecture hours. The management is very co-operative. We can get as much leaves as needed.

Dislikes

The education and research standard is very low and backward. The country is politically unstable and it affects the stay in Ethiopia immensely. The country is extremely poor and backward by atleast 20 years as compared to India.
