I worked as a Digital Marketing Manager at this company, and my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. 1. No Clear Job Role or Understanding of Digital Marketing. When I joined, there was no defined role or understanding of digital marketing within the company. For the entire first month, I had no real tasks because the leadership was clueless about how digital worked. Despite this, I took the initiative to propose strategies and focus on meaningful marketing tasks, only to encounter resistance and apathy from the senior team. 2. Toxic Work Environment and Incompetent Leadership The senior staff spent their days sitting idle, with no regard for proper management or processes. Their primary focus seemed to be ingratiating themselves with the owner, Mr. Agarwal, rather than contributing to the company’s growth. In one instance, I shared a promising idea in a meeting that was completely ignored. From that point on, I wasn’t invited to any further discussions. Attempts to directly engage with the owner were futile, as he was more interested in inappropriate flirtations than addressing business needs—a classic example of mid-life crisis behavior. 3. Salary Issues and Threats- After four to five months, the company stopped paying my salary. Despite this, I continued doing whatever work I could to add value to the company. When I confronted HR about the unpaid wages, not only did they fail to resolve the issue, but they also threatened me and asked me to leave the office. Their unprofessionalism escalated to the point where I had to involve the police. While the police supported my case and advised me to file a complaint with the Labor Court, I chose to move on rather than dwell on their mismanagement Years later, after I had moved on and built a successful career, the same company had the audacity to contact me again with a job offer. I made it clear to them that no self-respecting marketing professional should ever associate with such an organization. This company operates worse than a poorly run grocery shop. The lack of professionalism, unethical practices, and toxic culture make it a place to avoid at all costs.
