The company adopted the latest technology and upgraded itself regularly. Be it systems or policies. I loved the brand I was associated with. It was a matter of pride. The free tickets benefit was a very good perk that came with the company not just for myself but extended to family members too. There was a huge Indian community in dubai at my work place so making friends was very easy. I also got an opportunity to loose with people of different nationalities and it exposes one to different cultures. My previous SVP was Canadian and he had an open door policy. It was very easy to walk into his cabin and speak to him. The same applied for my British and Australian bosses. The company has a re-hire policy which is great. The facilities in the coprporate office are very nice like mothers room and good cafeterias. Good employee service place. To cater to visa processes and personal matters....Read More

The Emiratisation culture
speaking in Arabic in an office environment was very common in front of non arabic speakers.
The HR department was not someone you could actually speak to not very approachable.
There were clinics held in the office which no one would attend.
Very difficult to grow beyond a particular grade. Growth is slow and favoured to non Indians. Work pressure is not very high. Managers do not value suggestions openly. There is a lot of importance to hierarchy. You have to really sell yourself to get noticed.
Some departments like the cabin crew department was very pedantic. They would follow the rules of managing staff beyond reasoning like staff are robots.
When dealing with customers we had bend but don’t break rules policy the same should be applicable to staff too.
Most people work for emirates for 3 reasons. Job security. Tickets and the Compensation is not bad....Read More
