Everything is to be disliked.
1. Teaching which is the primary job has taken a back seat and you will have to deal with more of clerical work such as sending messages to the parents of students after every class, roaming even for a purpose of bringing a file from the main office(attender sometimes will not be there)
2. There is an unwritten rule that you should give the average internal marks for the students even if they fail. The students know this trick and they won't even attend the internal exams. To make matters worse, the management tells you to contact the student and make him come and write the exam otherwise you will be fired.
3. One faculty every day during the exams is in charge of handing the answer sheets of the external exams to the regional VTU office instead of the DCS officer after working hours which may take more than 3 hours of your schedule return to your home and no comp offs for that.
4. They expect 100% result even though in some subjects even the university result won't be upto 50%. Otherwise no increment for the next year in your salary or even they might demote you or may also remove you.
5. I had caught a student red-handed while copying and that student was behaving rudely with me in the staff room. Neither the staff nor the management came to my support. So no safety for your life on campus and it is under threat. Instead that student due to a grudge against me, complained against me and action was taken against me in favor of the student.
6. Forget if you want to do any research work for the award of Ph.D.
7. If the attender or peon is on leave which happens to be more often, you will have to do his job also right from opening the department and classrooms, taking the files to the office etc, etc.
8. If you are traveling in a college bus, as usual, some amount from your salary will be deducted. But even after paying for bus fees, if a student is standing in the bus and asks for a seat from you, the faculty has to vacate the seat and the student will be sitting and the faculty will be standing. Guru-shishya relation is opposite in this college.
