I am not sure about all managers are same there. But my manager does not have management skills. He never share his knowledge to anyone and I didn't learn anything from him. He gives the opportunity only people he likes. He always seek from me that I have to train and share my knowledge to junior developers. Appraisals should be uniform and should be completely on the individual person work but for some it will be great and for some even if they were capable it will not be up to the expectations. Need more projects with latest technology on Automotive end.

Some managers can be very toxic. Even when there is no work for a project, you're still expected to stay in the office without any reason. The managers here often don't have any tasks to do, so they start micromanaging. If you're learning new things, they may question how it will impact the company.
