Line manager is everything, he decides your rating, increment, bonus. HR is just a yes man to whatever reporting manager says. Lot of good policies on paper but at ground level not much. HR is absolutely not reachable

Appraisal and Salary is less as compared to other banks. Dbs is Singapore bank, so every decision made in Singapore. DTI is worked like service base company who follows the order from Singapore management.

Good Job security, good place to learn but not earn. Mostly weekend working is not there if you are capable.

Dislikes

Past 2 years they have bulk hired like service based companies and these senior officers and analyst performance is also like tcs, infosys hcl and ibm. Most of them are always taking breaks in groups and don't take responsibility. Disadvantages of hiring junior all Telugu only. Some of these have 2 yrs experience and still cannot write a SpringBoot application.

Earlier when DTI was growing it was good place to be.

Dislikes

1- more that 50% of time is wasted in process and very less time for actual development work. 2- Very biased environment towards Singapore employees and very poor credibility of DTI guys. 3- Poor appraisal policies now. 4- No phycological safety

It is highly appreciated work culture. Bank is providing lot of benefits to employees. Many opportunities available individual can develop the knowledge even cross department. Opportunities to move across various departments. All you need to have high positive approach.

Only few people from top management bringing their previous employers style of working which bank to restrict.

Road side coolies are becoming managers after working for 8-10 years as contractor .No knowledge of any programing or tech stack just know how to abuse and fight .

For a fresher this is the best company, but moving onto next few years after will be challenging to cope up with DBS work culture.

Doesn't give enough time for a developer, will be hard to deliver quality products. Also we stick up with same project when we start and will be very difficult to switch between projects as managers doesn't let you go or want to give up you from the project
