When joining felt it's an international company so as an individual will get more chances to bring expertise in to some or little change but Management doesn't get sync as most of them are in system from very long period , They fear change so they don't allow newcomers to align towards bringing the change rather focus on business and unwanted follow-up and demoralising individual to get the numbers what company exoects....Read More

1. Office politics... Everybody thinks they are James bond, no one bothers to mind there own business... All are bothered about what the other is doing or thinking... Bosses make your colleagues call you and be on the concall silently and listen to the conversation... And the above is the culture in BATA, since AGES... DISGUSTING CULTURE.

Nothing to like in this company. Maybe the company may have good work culture outside India.But here it sucks big time.

I am really disappointed with the work culture. Only the Store Managers falls under company payroll and the other store associates falls under third party payroll and due to this,if there is any cash or stock shortage, the Store Manager becomes liable for everything. The store Manager has to pay from his pocket all the shortages,orelse FIR will be raised from the company. Be careful, I have seen many SM suffering due to someone else's mistake . Full of politics, people won't let u work, there is a race for taking credit of something which one has not done....Top hierarchy replete with septagenerians, who are destroying this good organization, culture is pathetic, regionalism and Castecism also quite palpable....

No internal organisation herirarchy structure in store level.Worst people management company. For newcomers they will not hike any amount from previous employers and they just show our variable highlighted in offer letter and they make people like so high eye opener. Operations support people's like HR and other relevant departmentcomplete deaf and dumb. No rewards and recognition.Strict 12+hours job. No safety and security policy sop in company. On audit, if shortages are found they will debit from us with tax in full MRP. But while releasing some surplus after deduction of tax and margin. Worst management ever seen . The management employees are cheater they recruited freshers from college and handover some stores to them then while leave they will ask the freshers to pay shortage amount which is not mentioned in any documents. And they specially recruiting people who don't know about retail and blaming them for the stock shortage and I paid around 50 k for shortage and they holded my salary for 2 months .
