One of the worst places to be in . Dry litigation work and the arbitration work is only allotted to the partner's favorite scums! Absolutely unprofessional dealing even with the clients and when it comes to the associates its much worse! Unhygienic basement, negligible court appearances. The corporate work is also not much and is mostly one timer client advisory. A lot of things. Starting from the rude behavior of partners, and senior associate to the work environment, everything is toxic. The environment is so toxic that even completing one single day becomes a task. For a normal person, it is not possible to survive here, until and unless you cry minimum once a day. You will be scolded brutally for coming 5 mins late, for having lunch with colleagues, for taking breaks more than 10 minutes, for leaving on time and what not. You will be made to sit and work the whole night and then also, the next morning you will be brutally scolded for absolutely no reason at all. Most of the time, the kind of work they delegate is of absolute no use. They don't even have proper staff, I dont know why they call it a firm when the situation there is way worse than working in a chamber. They don't have HR, Admin person, a good printer or nice lighting in the room. The basement area stinks because of sewage is leaking and there is no one to fix it. From resources to human resources, they lack in everything. Even apart from this, the toxicity is unbearable and unimaginable. An example is that they don't have leave policy for the associates. They will cut salary for every single day, even when you are deadly sick or when someone from your family has died. Only when you complete one year at this firm, they will give you money in the name of leave encashment. Even the firm knows that the employee fluctuation is too high and therefore they use these tricks to harass their employees. They even use the sandwich policy which means your salary for sunday will be deducted if you dont go on Saturday and Monday. The firm doesn't pay on time as well, it never paid on 1st. It keeps changing according to its convenience. Sometimes on 3rd, 7th, 10th, or 15th. Since they don't have staff, the associates are required to carry out personal work of the partners, do HR work, clerical work, admin work in the working hours and post working hours you are required to do the actual work and sit overnight and still listen to harsh, rude and mean words of the partners. It's a great place to work especially for lawyers on the learning curve. The work hours are strict but there is no other stress of attire etc. One gets to work on large and complex cases and with stellar clients. Professional and financial growth is purely on merit and productivity and does not depend on time.

It was nice working at ASP. The work culture is not very formal and the partners can be great mentors. I was given the opportunity to independently work on high value litigations and arbitrations. Timings are strict and one has to put in long working hours.

The partners of the firm are faux manager, the real manager is the senior associate who is a self proclaimed owner of the firm and makes everyone’s life a living hell. This is one of the reasons that you can see the firm hiring associates every 2 months as nobody can tolerate such a entitled brat. The worst human.

I had a wonderful time there. The Partners and associates were fun and the work was just great. One has to put in late hours though but its always challenging and exciting work. Was a tremendous learning experience for me. Ambience is casual and no strict hierarchy. Salary payments are on time. Our of pocket expenses are paid twice a month. even during covid lockdowns payments came on time and not even a days salary was deducted or reduced....Read More
