There's a great team of experienced staff especially unit managers from whom learning more up to date skills and competence is made possible. Working under pressure also makes one get more experienced and well acquainted on how to handle emergencies alongside other assignments.

Work Details

While at American Hospital, I enjoyed teaming up with members of staff from different parts of the world and with different skills. I was able to learn much in as regards to midwifery care and management of emergent situations, working under pressure.

Work days: Rotational Shift (Strict Timings)

Work related travel: This is a desk job.

There was not one positive that came from this job, apart from appreciating my next job so so much more

Dislikes

Medical director at the time made the job one that I dreaded going in to every day. There was a very low staff morale because everyone was so stressed due to him. Long hours were worked with no benefits. We were asked to do jobs we were not comfortable with or trained to do. There was no opportunity to grow as a professional, nor a c hance to discuss this.
