a system engineer

New Job Anxiety?

Hey all I recently got an offer from a company as it offered me a 60-70 % hike over my current company which was about to secure a job. I am having 3 years of experience in SAP BW domain and mostly and in this I have worked for 1.6 years in BW support and that too in night shifts where there is not much work. I started preparing interviews and cleared them and now got an offer and I put my notice and my last working day was next week. Now coming to the main part even though I'm good about most part having less real time experience and exposure is freaking me out and what will be the new company expectations and I decided to work hard to learn all the details it's just the hands on I'm not sure. With in mean time I'll be preparing in that company I mean once I join should I need to tell my lead or manager that this is at where am I and should I just bluff them as i know everything. Any suggestions please...the joining date is around the corner which gives me more anxiety

Nothing. There’s literally nothing I like about it. According to labour law, we are supposed to work only for 8 or max to max 9 hours. But the management can make us work anytime. Midnight, early morning, weekends.. No proper work culture, no personal space..

Dislikes

Management.. Every department has nailed us down with all the stress and mental pressure. No support at all. No proper flight schedule planning and just loading the flight ma in system and cancelling it later even after knowing it won’t meet the operating cost. Well, a hammer !

Work Details

Worst. Being dumped with other’s work with the work we already have. Favouritism is more in the work culture. No equal opportunities. Takes nerve to open up about all this but sure every employee is going through this.

The salary is on time. Flying with the crew members including Cabin Crew & Pilots is wonderful, they are cooperative and supportive. Being a CC You get to work with people across different states which becomes a learning experience.

Dislikes

The administration team is horrible. Some of them have already got themselves into training department before privatization, The Senior Crew members who have been flying right from inception of the company are taken over by these less experienced and corrupt Admin staff who have by support of higher authorities acquired higher positions which they don't deserve.
