AIIMS is only for clinicians, we researchers dont get any respect. We the PhD students are considered as taken for granted people to run their labs by doing the routine diagnostic testing. They enroll us as PhDs and compel us for doing the routine lab testing so that they can run their diagnostic labs by not intaking any manpower. We were given a minimal monthly stipend amount and in on our research projects they intake other students as JRF/SRF/RA posts who will be used to run their different lab set up. Even the division head, senior scientists and head of the department are the master mind behind this game....Read More

There is no career growth for the researchers. There is no basic research happening in AIIMS. All these projects were planned with other research instituted like IGIB. The research students are strangled between the ego war of scientists and clinicians. They enroll PhD students for doing the routine diagnostics lab work so that theycan continue their routine testing without intaking any manpower as laboratory staffs. We the researchers work in lab with minimal stipend amount and we have been compelled in doing the routine testing. If we deny then that would get affected on our thesis work. We work from early morning and late evening and sometime till midnight but none of our guides are bothered and we dont get paid extra also for extra working hours....Read More
