For starting a career and growth, TCS is not the right option as salary average is much lesser than any other company, Also appraisal hike is also not so good.Office politics is something that I think present everywhere.

-No freedom to choose your project based on your interest. -Very low salary for freshers around 2.5 to 3LPA. -Very low increment yearly only 5 to 10%.

When you work in TCS you will feel what is actually working in MNC. All the things are processed neatly. In TCS you will get job security even if you are not allocated to any project.

Promotions and salary hike in TCS is very low you will get promoted only if you are eligible.
