... culture is normal. Long working hours as per requirement but not in routine. Only drawback is very low salary hike annualy even less than market standard. Promotions can get in 3-4 years gap or as per your bonding with reporting manager. Overall very good company to work with normal work life balance and even can plan your retirement if you have not any higher wishes of self growth.

Annual hike can be better in terms of market standard.

...nts, now they are forced for medicals from TMH which is below par at Jamshedpur. Joining at other locations except Jamshedpur is somewhat better in terms of benefits like salary, mediclaims etc.

... is the worst dept out of all in terms of career, benefits worklife balance etc. Huge salary variations among same designation was pathetic. It all depends on how HR fools you during interviews for least salary showing Tata brand. Tata brand is the biggest caveat which ppl fall for. Tata steel is best for GET, MT etc. DO NOT join as laterals later in life. You'll suffer like anything thats for sure.

Salary is as per the industry practice, work life balance is because you have to travel less compared to other locations

Culture is not conducive to the people who want to explore new things, Training without any benefit to job is provided, Promotions will require some more than qualifications
