Low salary hike, Rating and Promotion is very low and you will be strictly asked to work from office no matter what other wise don't expect rating and you will get mail from hr department directly like they will take some strict action and you if not come.

Cons: There is no scope for learning and skill development - most of the time, you'll end up in roles that doesn't suite your skill sets, Poor work-life balance ( based on projects), linguistic politics/partiality among the managers.

Being highest revenue generator, GBM is one of the best dept of HSBC in terms of salary/hike . Also balanced work-life. Do not join if you are looking for on-site opportunity
