SBI is India's premier public sector Bank giving competition to private players like HDFC and Axis. It was an honor to be associated with such a reputed institution. The job security is great. Customer interfacing, communication skills, on the spot dynamic thinking, on the go technical learning and adaptability to any situation -these are what i learnt from my work as a clerical staff.

Dislikes

...mma, between not taking promotion and remaining stagnant in same role for years. The pay is decent, there are concessions on loans, medical facilities etc but the salary revision happens only once in 5/6 years after numerous union strikes. Passing JAIIB, CAIIB exams, Annual increment and promotion are the only way you can increase your income. Rest is at the mercy of IBA settlement.

- Allowances that do not reflect on salary slip and hence you end up paying less tax. - 100% medical reimbursement - Work/interact with top management in bank and IT MNCs. - Job security

Dislikes

- No work-life balance. Usually, work gets extended to your home. - You may be asked to work on weekends. - 6 working days per week except for the 2nd and 4th Saturday. - Career progression is slow compared to IT MNCs.
