His leadership is chaotic at best—everything is declared "urgent" and "super important" without any clear direction or strategic thought for the future. It’s leadership in name only, with no vision or understanding of how to steer the company toward success. His lack of clarity creates a whirlwind of confusion, making every project seem disjointed and poorly executed. Product Team Dysfunction The product team in India, headed by a lady with zero grasp of product management, is another disaster waiting to unfold. A former software engineer with no relevant product experience, she lacks even basic prioritization skills. Her primary concern is not improving the product or leading the team, but securing credit for others’ work, backstabbing colleagues, and doing whatever it takes to preserve her seat. The combination of her incompetence and conniving tactics is staggering—it's rare to see someone so utterly unqualified for their role while being so damaging to the team dynamic. Engineering Mismanagement The Engineering Manager is another shining example of what not to do in a leadership position. Lacking any technical prowess, his entire focus is on irrelevant metrics like how much time employees spend in the washroom or the cafeteria. He’s more interested in micromanaging personal habits than improving technology or team productivity. His aggressive and condescending demeanor is a constant source of stress for the team, with frequent outbursts and shouting matches becoming the norm in conference rooms and meetings. His leadership style is neither effective nor respectful, leaving the engineering team demoralized and unproductive. A Culture of Toxicity The overall culture at Walker Digital Table Systems India can only be described as toxic and inhumane. Employees are treated with utter disrespect, and the internal politics are suffocating. Incompetence is not just tolerated—it thrives at every level of leadership, creating an environment where merit and talent are overshadowed by self-serving power plays. It's a place where ideas and vision are consistently stifled, and where hard work goes unrewarded, while mediocrity and political maneuvering are rewarded.
