Varsanna Ispat Limited (VIL) is a public limited incoporated in the year 2000. VIL started as a Internet Service Provider and a Rice Processor.Subsequently, VIL embarked on a project to set up an integrated steel plant at Varsana in Gandhidham (Kutch) in Gujrat . The company has set up the unit keeping in mind the expected growth of steel sector backed by buoyant growth rate of economy, the prospects in international markets and the competitive advantage enjoyed by the company due to favourable tax breaks provided by the government.
The project is promoted by Mr. Sandip Jhunjhunwala.He is also Managing Director of REI Agro Limited.
