LogicStar is building AI agents for app maintenance
- Swiss startup LogicStar has secured $3m in pre-seed funding to bring tools to the developer market that can do autonomous maintenance of software applications.
- LogicStar’s AI agents can end up partnering with code development agents, such as Cognition Labs’ Devin, in a business win-win.
- They are building atop large language models (LLMs) such as OpenAI’s GPT or even China’s DeepSeek.
- Code fidelity is an issue for AI agents building and deploying software and LogicStar wants to do its bit to grease the development wheel.
- The team is using a model-agnostic approach for their platform that allows LogicStar to dip into different LLMs and maximize AI agents’ utility, based on which foundational models work best for resolving a particular code issue.
- LogicStar’s AI agents can work at scale to serve users with a shortcut to the best that LLMs can offer.
- LogicStar’s platform enables the “very fast executive environment” its AI agents can even safely extract commercial value while saving time for developers to focus on the important stuff.
- Enterprises are set to be LogicStar’s initial target with its “silicon agents” being put beside corporate dev teams.
- But currently the tech only supports Python — expansions to Typescript, Javascript and Java are coming soon.
- The pre-seed raise was led by European VC firm Northzone, with angel investors from DeepMind, Fleet, Sequoia scouts, Snyk and Spotify joining the round.

Snyk hits $300M ARR but isn’t rushing to go public
- Developer security startup, Snyk, valued at $7.4 billion, is not rushing to go public despite hitting $300 million annual recurring revenue (ARR).
- CEO Peter McKay says the company has $435 million in the bank, expects to be cash flow positive in 2025, and will choose the right time for an IPO.
- McKay believes regulatory conditions will improve next year, but sees 2026 as a more favorable time for Snyk to go public.
