Established in 1953, Midland Credit Management, Inc. (MCM), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Encore Capital Group, Inc., is a specialty finance company providing debt recovery solutions for consumers across a broad range of assets. We purchase portfolios of defaulted consumer receivables and manage them by partnering with our consumers as they repay their obligations and work toward financial recovery. In 2011, we introduced the industry’s first Consumer Bill of Rights codifying our commitment to working with our consumers through mutual engagement, understanding, collaboration and respect. Ultimately, we help our consumers recover from financial difficulty and turn towards a path of economic empowerment.
