Established by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) in 1986, the Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ) was initially known as Jewellery Product Development Centre (JPDC). GJEPC's vision was to create future generations of jewellery professionals who would take the rapidly growing industry to the next level, and also to upskill the existing workforce.
