Creating a disruptive platform from scratch requires a lot of patient capital and plenty of strategic perspectives. Headquartered in Bangalore and founded in 2019 by proven tech leaders in the digital recruitment space, GW is intensively invested in a first-principles approach. Going through multiple rounds of consumer and market research, the founding team identified and mapped the lives (and struggles) of blue-collar workers to create a seamless and familiar platform for this unique demographic (formally mid-literate but mobile-savvy) and, most importantly, a delight to use. Technology Obsession at GoodWorker At its core, GoodWorker is solving two deep technical problems – first, it is to leverage decentralized tech. that empowers billions, and secondly, how to adapt this technology in a way that includes a target audience that, while limited in its education, is heavily exposed to OTT, Social, and Gaming micro-cultures. Solving these two problems uniquely through self-sovereign identity (SSI) and verified credential (VC) differentiates GoodWorker. Not hoarding data but building a platform where users own and control their data and data identities in secure, nontamperable, and portable ways is incredibly game-changing.
