BlueStone Inches Closer To Rs 1,000-Crore IPO With Board Approval
- Jewellery retailer BlueStone has received board approval for a Rs 1,000-crore initial public offering (IPO) to enter the public markets.
- The IPO will be a mainboard offering, and the company will file a draft red herring prospectus to outline the use of IPO proceeds.
- BlueStone has also passed a resolution to issue 13 lakh shares to its Founder and CEO Gaurav Singh Kushwaha to raise Rs 75 crore.
- Founded in 2011, BlueStone is an omnichannel jewellery startup competing with brands like CaratLane, GIVA, Melorra, and legacy jewellery brands.

Jewellery brand Giva's revenue rises 66% in FY24, losses widen 30%
- Jewellery brand Giva reported a 65.8% YoY growth in operating revenue, reaching Rs 273.6 crore for FY24.
- However, the company's net loss widened by 29.6% to Rs 58.6 crore.
- Giva expanded into lab-grown diamonds and gold jewellery to cater to evolving fashion demands.
- The company plans to open over 100 stores annually in cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata.

- GIVA, a jewellery start-up, reported a 66% increase in revenues to ₹274 crore in FY24.
- The company's losses grew 31% to ₹59 crore in FY24 from ₹45.23 crore in the previous year.
- Cost of procurement increased by 53.3% to ₹115 crore in FY24 from ₹75 crore in FY23.
- GIVA closed its extended Series B funding round at ₹255 crore, with participation from Premji Invest, Epiq Capital, Edelweiss Discover Fund, and top management.
