Remote power monitoring was science fiction 40 years ago, but EI Electronics (dba Electro Industries/GaugeTech or EIG) made it an everyday reality. The company makes computer-monitored power measuring meters, as well as monitoring software. It has sold more than 250,000 meters. Serving the utilities and manufacturing industries, Electro Industries/GaugeTech has offices in the Philippines and the US. EIG has a strategic partnership with General Electric. The company was founded by engineer Samuel Kagan in 1973. He invented the first multifunction digital switchboard monitor. EI Electronics is owned by the Kagan family.
