A leader in hybrid vehicle technology, Curtis Instruments designs and manufactures devices for motor control, battery management, power conversion, and vehicle instrumentation applications. Products include timers, counters, solid-state gages, voltage converters, and motor speed controllers for battery-powered vehicles and equipment used in construction, material handling, medical mobility, and telecommunications industries. Curtis operates three manufacturing plants in Puerto Rico, Bulgaria, and China, and engineering centers in the US (New York and California), China, and Switzerland. The company was founded in 1960 by Edward Marwell and Curtis Beusman. Chairman Edward Marwell is the majority shareholder.
