Binance, WazirX, and Other Crypto Firms Accused of Tax Evasion in India: Report

- GST authorities have filed a tax evasion case of Rs 722.43 crore against Binance Group company Nest Services Ltd.
- In total, cases have been booked against 17 cryptocurrency exchanges for GST evasion of Rs 824.14 crore.
- Central GST formations have detected GST evasion of Rs 40.51 crore by Zanmai Labs Pvt (WAZIRX), Rs 16.84 crore by CoinDCX, and Rs 14.13 crore by CoinSwitch Kuber.
- Four investors in virtual digital assets have been investigated, with Rs 1.76 crore evasion detected and Rs 2.40 crore recovered in taxes, penalty, and interest.
