Senior Engineering Manager - Backend Technologies (10-15 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of high-performing engineers in building scalable and robust software solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in Java, Golang, and Microservices Architecture, combined with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

2. Drive the design, development, and deployment of scalable microservices-based applications.

3. Ensure high availability, security, and performance of software systems.

4. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to

define and deliver technical solutions.

5. Own the end-to-end development lifecycle, including architecture, coding standards, testing, and deployment strategies.

6. Advocate best practices in software engineering.

7. Stay updated with emerging technologies and drive their adoption when relevant.

Requirements :

1. 10+ years of experience in software development with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.

2. Strong hands-on experience with Java, Golang, and microservices architecture.

3. Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools like Kubernetes & Docker.

3. Expertise in designing and scaling distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and API-first development.

4. Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation.

5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and lead the team toward solutions.

6. Excellent communication skills and a track record of driving technical excellence within engineering teams.

7. Bachelor's/Master's degree from a Top Tier-1 institution (IITs, IIMs, NITs, ISB, top global universities, etc.) is strongly preferred.

Nice to Have :

1. Experience with AI/ML, big data processing, or real-time streaming solutions.

2. Knowledge of GraphQL, gRPC, or event-driven messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).

3. Prior experience in high-growth product companies or startups
