DWDM Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Well known about the I&C, testing methodology of transmission equipment.

• In-depth understanding of OTN, 10G/40G/100G, DWDM, ROADM standards.

• Experience of OTN (2.5G, 10G & 100G) for commissioning as well as troubleshooting.

• Experience on ASON configuration 10G as well as 100G.

• Hands on experience in all of the above technologies.

• Zeal and the passion for delivering a high-quality product where accountability and ownership is
an absolute necessity.

• Understand Product Architecture, ITU-T Standards and field deployment use cases and ensure
100% test case coverage.

• Experience in provisioning and mapping of all the trails in DWDM.

• Well known about the Protection schemes of DWDM.

• Capable to handle all type of instrument during the manual testing of OTN equipment
Ethernet, OSA etc.

• Resolution of Complaints: Looking after Customer related complaints from Network side.

• Taking timely backups of the configuration of various network elements. Ensuring all alarms to
be cleared after any planned or unplanned activities within define key performance
identification (KPI).

• Network creation in NMS such as Node Integration, Ring Creation & Topology Creation in NMS,
etc. and assist in defining future network architecture.
