ZopSmart - Lead Golang Developer - Google Cloud Platform (5-9 yrs)

You will work in a team of senior and junior Developers, helped by a Scrum Master to manage the agile ceremonies, working towards quarterly (rolling to annual) targets of the business for the Product and Business owners. The offshore and onshore Software Architects will help you and the team align your suggestions on the technical architectures you propose. You will report to the Engineering Manager Golang for regular professional growth.

Responsibilities :

- Leading the design and development of software applications in GoLang, ensuring high-quality code that is scalable, maintainable, and efficient.

- Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and timelines.

- Mentoring and coaching team members, providing technical guidance and support to ensure the team is delivering high-quality work.

- Conducting code reviews and providing feedback to ensure code quality and consistency.

- Identifying and addressing technical debt and other issues that impact the stability and scalability of the software.

- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in Go Lang and related technologies, and incorporating this knowledge into the development process.

- Collaborating with other teams, such as DevOps and QA, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software applications.

- Participating in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.

- Take the project ahead on the technical goals.

- Mentor the other relatively junior members of the team.

- Help in growing your team and other teams in the organization by participating in the Hiring activities.

- Ensure effective translation of customer requirements, and business needs to technical solutions.

Requirements :

- Min. 5 years of experience in the field of software development.

- Experience mentoring juniors, ability to break down problem statements into smaller tasks for individuals to work on.

- Experience working with Public Cloud providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure. Knowledge of Docker, and

Kubernetes.

- Proficiency in GoLang, with a bias towards TDD.

- Good understanding of Datastores : RDBMS/ NoSQL.

- Excellent communication skills (English), verbal and written.

It will be nice if you have :

- Experience working with Caching, Message Queues.

- Hands-on experience with other programming languages.

- Understanding of DevOps tools and practices.

- Valid US Business VISA.
