Zimetrics Technologies - Senior Database Administrator/Engineer - AWS Cloud Platform (5-10 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with extensive experience in AWS (Amazon Web Services) As a Cloud DBA, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and optimisation of our cloud-based databases, ensuring maximum performance, reliability, and security

- Familiarity with database monitoring and diagnostic tools

- Manage, monitor, and optimize oracle databases deployed on the AWS cloud platform (RDS ,Aurora, DynamoDB and EC2)

- Strong expertise in SQL and hands-on experience with query optimization and performance tuning

- Develop and maintain database-related documentation, including standards, procedures, and performance-tuning guidelines

- Utilize scripting languages (eg, PowerShell, Bash) to automate routine database administration tasks and enhance operational efficiency

- Identify and apply DB optimizations for better performance and cost effectiveness

In this position, you will be responsible for Database deployment configuration, Scaling and Performance tuning, Database Security, Backup and recovery, Capacity Planning and Cost Management, Data migration, Troubleshooting

Skills :

- Experience in Database deployment configuration, Scaling and Performance tuning, Database Security, Backup and recovery, Capacity Planning and Cost Management, Data migration, Troubleshooting.

- Strong experience on AWS RDS, Aurora, EC2, S3, DataSync, IAM, KMS, Athena, Database Migration Service (DMS), and Cloud watch.

- Understanding of scalable computing systems, data architecture/data modelling, software architecture, database structures, and algorithms.

- Expertise in configuring databases on AWS Production/UAT/Dev environment

- Experience on cloud platform.

- Developing, designing, testing, implementing, and maintaining database applications using Oracle, MySQL.
