Job Description

SFDC Enterprise Technical Architect (2 positions)

This role involves leading large-scale Salesforce implementations, ensuring alignment with business goals, and ensuring the scalability, security, and efficiency of the solutions across the organization. The Enterprise Technical Architect works closely with business leaders, technical teams, and Salesforce developers to deliver a robust and scalable Salesforce architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture & Design:

Enterprise Architecture:

Define and implement the overall Salesforce enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with the organization’s business strategy and IT roadmap.

Architect scalable, high-performance Salesforce solutions that support large-scale business processes across departments and geographies.

Salesforce Platform Customization:

Lead the customization of Salesforce platforms, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and custom applications built on the Salesforce Platform.

Ensure the architecture accommodates future growth, considering scalability, performance, and maintainability of the platform.

Integration Strategy:

Design integration strategies between Salesforce and other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, legacy systems) to ensure seamless data flow and process synchronization.

Leverage integration tools such as MuleSoft, APIs, and web services to design secure and efficient data integration solutions.

Data Architecture:

Develop and implement data models that align with enterprise data governance standards, ensuring consistency, integrity, and security of data across systems.

Oversee data migration, transformation, and cleansing activities to ensure a seamless transition to Salesforce for new implementations.

Technical Leadership:

Governance & Best Practices:

Establish and enforce architecture governance, standards, and best practices across the organization’s Salesforce implementations.

Define architectural guidelines for developers, ensuring code quality, security, and scalability.

Security & Compliance:

Ensure the architecture adheres to enterprise security standards, including user authentication, data encryption, and access controls.

Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure that the Salesforce solutions comply with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and other industry-specific requirements.

Performance Optimization:

Monitor and optimize the performance of Salesforce implementations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing performance-enhancing solutions.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to performance, security, and scalability of Salesforce applications.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaboration with Business Leaders:

Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, gather requirements, and translate them into technical Salesforce solutions.

Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on Salesforce architecture and how it aligns with the organization’s overall digital transformation goals.

Vendor & Partner Management:

Collaborate with third-party vendors, Salesforce consultants, and implementation partners to ensure successful delivery of Salesforce projects.

Manage relationships with Salesforce and other external stakeholders to ensure alignment with the latest Salesforce technologies and features.

Project & Team Leadership:

Project Leadership:

Lead enterprise-wide Salesforce projects, overseeing the design, development, and deployment of Salesforce solutions.

Provide guidance to project managers and development teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with enterprise architecture goals.

Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing:

Mentor junior architects, developers, and technical teams, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

Lead architectural reviews, technical workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions within the organization.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

Emerging Technology:

Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce features, products, and releases, ensuring the organization leverages new technologies to enhance its Salesforce ecosystem.

Explore opportunities to integrate emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and analytics tools into Salesforce to drive business innovation.

Continuous Improvement:

Continuously evaluate existing Salesforce implementations, recommending improvements and enhancements that align with evolving business needs.

Key Requirements:

Experience:

Salesforce Architecture:

8+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, enterprise-grade Salesforce implementations.

Extensive experience with Salesforce clouds (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud) and Salesforce development tools (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, APIs).

Enterprise Architecture:

Experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level architectures that integrate Salesforce with other business systems such as ERP, data warehouses, and customer service platforms.

Hands-on experience with integration tools like MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or similar technologies.

Technical Skills:

Salesforce Platform Expertise:

Deep understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, including multi-cloud implementations, integrations, and custom development.

Proficiency in Salesforce development and customization, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce DX.

Integration & Data Management:

Expertise in designing and managing integrations between Salesforce and external systems using APIs, middleware platforms, and web services.

Strong understanding of data architecture principles, including data modeling, data migration, and master data management (MDM).

Security & Compliance:

Experience with Salesforce security models, including role hierarchies, sharing rules, profiles, permission sets, and encryption methods.

Familiarity with industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA, and the ability to implement compliant Salesforce solutions.

Certifications:

Salesforce Certifications:

Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Application Architect certification is highly preferred.

Additional certifications such as Salesforce Certified System Architect, Integration Architect, or Data Architect are desirable.

Soft Skills:

Communication & Leadership:

Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Leadership abilities to guide technical teams and ensure alignment with the organization's overall technology strategy.

Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking:

Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, with a focus on delivering practical, scalable solutions to complex business challenges.

Industry Knowledge:

Experience in industries such as financial services, healthcare, retail, or telecommunications is an advantage, particularly where Salesforce plays a pivotal role in customer relationship management and business operations.
