Investec India - React Native Mobile Developer

About the role:

As a Mobile React Native Engineer, you will collaborate with fellow engineers, product owners, and product designers to design, develop, and maintain our private client mobile app. You will be responsible for building services from the ground up, working closely with a global team to develop shared libraries and components used across all mobile applications. As a member of a product team, your focus will be on creating and supporting our rich and interactive mobile application for iOS and Android. This application will enable private clients to self-service their banking, borrowing, saving, and investment needs.

Essential skills:

• 3 years experience building in React Native
• Proficient in Redux (or similar) for state management
• Solid JavaScript and TypeScript experience
• Solid understanding of React Hooks, lifecycle and performance considerations
• Experience in integrating with RESTful APIs
• Experience with automated build processes and automated tests (e. g. React testing library, Jest and Detox etc)
• Experience implementing UI/UX elements based on wireframes/design systems
• Strong foundational knowledge in software engineering principles and architecture.
• Proficient in using Git as a source control system
• Some exposure to the cloud computing platform e. g. Azure, AWS, GCP

Good to have

• Native App development experience (Objective C/Swift or Java/Kotlin)
• Knowledge of build and deployment pipelines
• Familiarity with Storybook and component libraries is a plus.
