Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct detailed requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders, including product owners, underwriters, claims processors, and actuaries.
- Analyze and document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories related to life and annuity insurance products and processes.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear and concise technical specifications for the development team.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify areas for process improvement and propose effective solutions.
- Leverage deep knowledge of life and annuity insurance products, including policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, and actuarial functions.
- Understand and analyze various life and annuity product types, including whole life, term life, universal life, variable annuities, and fixed annuities.
- Provide subject matter expertise on life and annuity insurance processes and systems.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Vantage life and annuity administration platform.
- Analyze and document configurations, customizations, and integrations within the Vantage system.
- Collaborate with technical teams to implement Vantage-based solutions and enhancements.
- Define and document project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Ensure alignment of project scope with business goals and strategic initiatives.
- Manage scope changes and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Design and document optimized business processes and workflows.
- Recommend and implement process automation solutions.
Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration :
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the IT team.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across different departments and teams.
- Conduct regular meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases to validate implemented solutions.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
- Identify and resolve defects and issues.
- Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including requirements documents, process flows, and user manuals.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for business users and support teams.
- Ensure that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Technical Skills & Qualifications :
- 7 to 15 years of experience in the Life and Annuity insurance domain.
- In-depth knowledge of life and annuity insurance products and processes.
- Strong understanding of the Vantage life and annuity administration platform.
- Proven experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience in process improvement and optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with database concepts and SQL (preferred).
- Understanding of system integration and APIs.
- Experience with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
