Location : Hyderabad.

Responsibilities :

Job Description :

- Administer, configure, and maintain NetApp ONTAP, FAS series, and associated storage systems.

- Perform system upgrades, patching, and firmware updates.

- Monitor storage performance and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.

- Manage storage provisioning, allocation, and reclamation.

- Implement and maintain storage best practices and standards.

- Configure and manage storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and FC.

- Troubleshoot protocol-related issues and ensure seamless connectivity.

- Optimize protocol performance for various applications and workloads.

- Implement and manage data protection technologies, including SnapShot, SnapMirror, and SnapVault.

- Develop and execute backup and recovery procedures.

- Conduct disaster recovery testing and ensure business continuity.

- Ensure data replication and synchronization across sites.

- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues within the storage environment.

- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

- Provide timely and effective support to internal teams.

- Design, implement, and manage SAN, NAS, and hybrid storage solutions.

- Optimize storage infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

- Integrate storage systems with other infrastructure components.

- Implement and maintain storage security principles and compliance standards.

- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments.

- Ensure data encryption and access control.

- Adhere to industry regulations and best practices.

- Create and maintain detailed documentation of storage configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

- Prepare and present reports on storage performance, capacity, and utilization.

- Document storage issues and resolutions.

- Collaborate with other infrastructure teams, application developers, and business stakeholders.

- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

- Participate in design and code reviews.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest NetApp technologies and best practices.

- Research and evaluate new storage solutions and methodologies.

- Identify and implement process improvements.

- Participate in industry events and conferences.

Technical Skills & Qualifications :

- 6 to 10 years of experience in NetApp storage administration or related IT infrastructure roles.

- Hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP, FAS series, and associated storage systems.

- Strong knowledge of storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and FC.

- Experience with data protection technologies like SnapShot, SnapMirror, and SnapVault.

- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues within a storage environment.

- Strong knowledge of SAN, NAS, and hybrid storage solutions.

- Understanding of storage security principles and compliance standards.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Relevant certifications, such as NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or similar, are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with cloud-based storage solutions.

- Experience with automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell).

- Experience with storage monitoring and management tools.

- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.

- Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning.
