Job Description
- Job Summary:
As an Associate Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to clients, ensuring smooth troubleshooting and resolving issues related to our products. You will work closely with both clients and internal teams to ensure timely and effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot Issues: Diagnose and identify software and hardware problems, including networking, system configurations, and application-related issues.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed records of support requests, solutions, and system issues in the support ticketing system.
- Escalation Management: Escalate more complex issues to Product teams and follow up on resolutions.
- Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s products, services, and technologies..
- Testing & Debugging: Test solutions to ensure the effectiveness of troubleshooting actions and verify that issues are resolved.
- Provide Reports: Document recurring issues, compile troubleshooting guides, and assist with knowledge base articles.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in technical support, preferably in a technology or software company.
- Solid understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with web technologies, SQL server , and cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, etc).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Should be able to take client calls based of US and should be able to promptly respond to their queries over email or send notifications as and when required.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems (Zendesk, Jira, ServiceNow, etc.) is a plus.
- Knowledge of scripting languages or programming (Shell, Powershell, etc.) is a plus.
- Ready to work in rotational shifts.
